Migrate from Anthropic

You change the base URL, the API key, and the model. The messages you already send stay, including max_tokens and the top-level system field. Lume 3.5 costs up to 90% less than flagship rates on the Anthropic API. Pricing has the rates.

The SDK adds /v1/messages to that base URL, and it sends anthropic-version: 2023-06-01. When the first block is text, the reply is still content[0].text. The key needs the scope messages:create. You create it in the API dashboard. Keep max_tokens within the model’s ceiling. On lume-3.5 that ceiling is 16,384. A thinking block can stay, and the reply that comes back is the text. Your own tools stay. Web search and other hosted tools stay in your application. Tools shows a function call, and Generate text shows a conversation.
